Federative Coordination and Health Policy Financing in Brazil: Current Mechanisms, Signaled Changes and Perspectives for the Future

ABSTRACT

This article addresses the history of the constitution of the financing mechanisms in force in the coordination structure of the Unified Health System from Brazil (SUS), in order to locate and to analyze the recent proposal to change the mechanisms of the transferring the resources of the Federal Government to the state and municipal levels of government.
