EMERGING LEARNINGS FROM DIFFERENT ROLES PLAYED BY STUDENTS IN THE SPORT EDUCATION MODEL

Abstract:

In order to analyze the events that emerged from the use of the Sport Education (SE) model in an invasion sports teaching unit, focusing on the different roles played by students, an action-research was carried out on an extension project. The study involved two coordinators and three teachers who, in a process of reflection and action, taught 14 children from seven to 11 years old. The meetings were recorded and later transcribed. Classes were recorded in individual field diaries by the three teachers. All this information underwent thematic analysis. The results showed that the code of conduct and the role of coach helped to direct the students' attention to the objects of the didactic unit, such as attitudes and tactical-technical knowledge.
