FROM A POETIC POWER OF MOVEMENT, TOWARDS A POETIC ACTION IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

This essay is a partial result of theoretical reflection on bodily movement; it draws on the discussions held within the study and research group "Subjectivation, Body Education, and Memory." It aims to explore the potential of physical education practitioners in developing and implementing their classes. Utilizing concepts from the French philosopher Henri Bergson, regarding the body, memory, and bodily movement, the essay reflects on whether physical education classes can contribute to generating something novel while preserving their disciplinary identity. Additionally, it serves as an invitation to contemplate how physical education classes create spaces for transforming the education of bodies in the contemporary context.
