Microtriatoma pratai n. sp. (Hemíptera, reduviidae, Triatominae, Bolboderini) is described from a single specimen collected inside a house in the city of Salvador, State of Bahia, Brazil. This species is easily distinguished from the others belonging to the genus principally by the existence of alternating broad light and dark coloured spots on the connexivum and the absence of spots on the hemelytra.
