It could be established that the oestrus is not the primordial factor for the act of the coitus. A certain period of adaptation of almost two cycles (10 days) is necessary. In order to determine the age of a placenta, colpocytology was applied enabling the fixation of the gestation phase and, thus, the calculation of the day on which the coitus was accomplished with only a small margin of error.
