The female of lutzomyia wilsoni (Damasceno & Causey, 1945), previously known but onlyu now described, is very similar to the female of L. saulensis (Floch & Abonnenc, 1944), showing the close relationship between the two species. The presently known geographic distribution of L. wilsoni is also given.
