CORPORATE PLANNING AND AIRPORT CONCESSION IN BRAZIL

ABSTRACT

This work seeks to identify the new practices of transferring the materialities of territories and territorial planning to large corporations. It is hypothesized that in recent years a new type of territorial planning has been established in Brazil, based on the new uses that are made of the structuring elements of the territory. Shedding light on the territorial aspects that make up the process of corporate use - organizational information and the control of flows of people and goods - we identify a corporate planning of territory, done directly by large corporations through the control and articulation of territorial infrastructure systems and that have substantive consequences for the circulation and spatial integration of Brazilian socio-spatial formation. The intention is to identify this process by means of the investigation of the current airport concession and its unfolding for territorial integration / disintegration.
