Abstract
This article intends to analyze discourses about the animals materialized in bills of law aimed at the animal cause and in food industry websites, to better understand the sayings of this successful trade in meat in a society paradoxically more sensitive to the suffering of animals. Before proceeding with the analysis, the article indicates a possible genesis that is resumed, reformulated or erased in contemporary discourses on the relations between humans and animals. The material comprises the bills 27/2018 and 470/2018, and statements from Sadia and Seara websites. Based on the Discourse Analysis derived from Pêcheux and Foucault, this study establishes relationships between the statements of the material and between them and other already said of the interdiscourse, focusing on the linguistic resources used in its formulation. The results show a relative sensitivity to the animals in the legislative, and the erasure of phenomena and properties in the agribusiness.
