A PROPOSAL TO AN OUTSOURCING BPM (BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT) MEASUREMENT MODEL

ABSTRACT

Nowadays the Business Process Management – BPM have been used by public and private organizations, because its use make possible the effective identification of the information needs to support the automation of business processes. This kind of service is usually outsourcing by the organizations. In this context, the objective of this research was to build a conceptual model to measure the outsourcing of BPM services. Some assumptions for the model are that it must provide the criteria to measure the demand for the service, evaluate the quality of them as well as the quality of the product received. The instrument adopted in this research to data collection was the documental research and the systematic literature review. About the systematic literature review, they were established research questions, built the research string to be applied to the digital publication bases chosen. They were also identified the as inclusion and exclusion criteria to be applied to all retrieved publications. All publications retrieved were read and analyzed to build a mind map to consolidate the results. It was also used the GQM (Goal Question Metrics) to elaborate the measurements of the case studies, applied to 13 business models to verify its coherency and to compare the results with their real world executions. Moreover, it was done interviews with specialists in Business Process Modeling to assess their perceptions about the measurements outcomes. The respondents found that the results were appropriate to the market reality considering the outsourcing context.
