OVERVIEW OF CORPORATE ARCHITECTURE IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION IN BRAZIL

ABSTRACT

Corporate architecture (AC) is a tool adopted worldwide by high-performance governments in public governance that enables integrated information management. This article investigates the development of the Corporate Architecture Framework for Interoperability in Support of Governance (FACIN) of the Federal Government of Brazil, analyzing the factors that justify its adoption and the expected benefits of this implementation. Content analysis and triangulation were performed on documents that supported the elaboration of FACIN and the artifacts produced. It was found that, despite CA provides a more rational and efficient management and promotes the governance, the introduction of the model in Brazil still needs to overcome managerial and political barriers.
