The tradition against political parties in Uruguay

The uruguayan politics has been recognized as party-politics, even in comparative terms. If this was the clue that permited the acumulation of civic aknowledgments, nothing allows us to think that it was established in an un-cuestionable way. This work aims to look into the other face of the process, to search in the history of the ideas who where opponents to the parties and their traditions. They also configured a political tradition.
