The right to identity: the restitution of appropriated children in the Southern Cone military dictatorships

This article examines the appropriation of children during the last military governments in Southern Cone of Latin America, especially in Argentina and Uruguay. At the same time the article seeks to show the collaboration between different national governments in the persecution of their political opponents. The article also examines the actions token human rights organizations such as Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo to find and give back the identity of this children. At last the article traces the importance of this point not include in the amnesty laws for the punition of those punishment of the human rights violation crimes.
