Educational innovation in three brazilian periodicals of History of Education (1997-2022)

Abstract

This paper presents the results of investigation regarding the presence of the theme of educational innovation in three Brazilian periodicals in the area of History of Education published from 1997 to 2022, namely, the Revista História da Educação, created by Asphe in 1997; the Revista Brasileira de História da Educação, created by SBHE in 2001; and the Cadernos de História da Educação, created by Nephe/UFU in 2002. The search was based on the terms New School, Renovation, and Innovation. The information collected was classified in the following categories: year of publication; authorships, institutional affiliations, and countries; titles, topics, countries, and periods discussed. Results showed that production on the topic of educational innovation was continuous and significant, with publication of 149 articles by the three periodicals. There was predominance of authorships, institutions, and objects of study related to the Luso-Brazilian sphere, with a special emphasis on the 1930s.
