This article proposes an original approach for the decision process, concerning the evaluation and selection of sugar-cane varieties for cultivation. This proposal is based on the employment of the Analytic Hierarchic Process (AHP) which was used to solve this problem. Also, some information that highlights the importance of this solution is presented, as well as a revision of the management functions in the agribusiness.
