Evaluation of enterprise cooperation through information exchange

Considering that cooperation among enterprises contributes significantly to improve the product performance in a supply chain, this work presents a method for analyzing the enterprise cooperation focused on the exchange of information among firms. Two indicators are used: the intensity, which seeks to measure the amount of information shared; and the extension, which seeks to measure how many stages of the supply chain the information is exchanged, both upstream and downstream, considering each company and its relationships with partners in a supply chain. The measurement of the intensity and the extension indicators for each enterprise was carried out through a questionnaire that was answered by staff members of auto parts companies, and some relevant conclusions are presented.
