Voices of the writing: on reading and writing

ABSTRACT

This paper aims to answer the following question: what writing can do in the face of voice? For this purpose, the authors research the concept of origin within the works of the German philosopher Walter Benjamin in order to argue that at the same time the writ ing saves and annihilates the presence and the power of the voice. The authors explore not only methods to search origins but also present and discuss the history of writing and the experience of listening voices in psychosis and in the act of reading.
