Evaluation of climatological variables in Uberlândia (MG) by principal component analysis

ABSTRACT:

Urbanization is able to change the mood of the space occupied by the city, and the climate one aspect that expresses the relationship between the company and the economic and social organization of urban space since, extreme events that are linked to temperature or the rainfall outside the normal range, impacting on people's quality of life. The objective of this work was to study the climatice behavior in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, through the monthly analysis of atmospheric temperature elements, relative humidity, temperature range and precipitation in the period between the years 2008 and 2012, for through the Principal Component analysis. The results indicated that a component could explain 70.59% of the total variation and was characterized by representing humid, rainy months, and with little temperature variation.
