Challenges and possibilities faced in the work of Teacher Trainers at a Federal Institute

ABSTRACT

In this research, the intention was to uncover the doings that are woven into the teaching practices of Teacher Trainers, with a focus on their teaching, in order to signalize the possibilities, tensions and dilemmas they face daily. The narrative was constituted as a research approach, being collected with five TTs from the undergraduate courses of a Federal Institute (IF). The results indicate possibilities for multifaceted performance in vertical teaching, encouraging FP to transcend their epistemological area of knowledge. However, the movement at various levels and the accumulation of activities intensify the teaching action and oblige the TTs to mobilize knowledge in dealing with multiple menus, along with interaction with students of different age groups, for which, many are not prepared.
