Several initiatives within literary theory and criticism have been endeavored to establish the frontiers of literature. Every new historical and literary context brings forth new expectations with regard to the literary text and consequently new evaluation criteria. Contemporary Brazilian literature, produced within the so-called post-modernity and marked by diffidence in universal discourses, has reflected upon itself to problematize frontiers, cross-roads and intersections established with other languages. The current paper discusses the metafiction in the short stories of Luci Collin. The theoretical interdisciplinary perspective is foregrounded on post-structuralist thought.
