Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyze the economics columnists of the main Brazilian newspapers based on the concept of epistemic community. Therefore, the article carried out a prosopography of these columnists and then analyzed the data collected by social network analysis. The work reveals, on the one hand, the plurality of the network when analyzed from the perspective of academic training and, on the other hand, the centrality of orthodox columnists when considering their complete professional trajectory, something that would reinforce the usefulness of the concept of epistemic community.
