The literature indicates the relation between nursing students profile and its correlation to the educational process, which supports and applies the teaching project, concerning the subject of this process. The study aimed to evaluate the social demographic profile of nursing students in Belo Horizonte/MG. It's a describing study developed in five private colleges. The data collection was made by the application of an interview. Data analysis was made by simple statistic as variable frequencies, and the results were clustered in tables. Data demonstrated that the young group, from age 20 to 24, women, and single from public school is the major group at the study. A large number of students in this group receives some kind of salary to practice their activities. Half of them work on nursing activities.
