Water management strategies on upland rice in no-tillage system, using the pan evaporation method

The work had as objective to study the effect of water management strategies on upland rice cultivars in no-tillage system, using the pan evaporation method. Treatments consisted of combination water management strategies (zero and two water deeps), with four replications. The use of irrigation increased height of plants, mass of 100 grains, yield, industrial characteristics and reduced the number of days to full flowering and the cycle of the crop. The adopted crops coefficients don't influence the phenological and productive characteristics of upland rice. The grains yield for Confiança and Maravilha cultivars was not different.
