Subjection or Evidence: The Exceptionality of the Flagrant for Drug Trafficking

ABSTRACT

Subjection or Evidence: The Exceptionality of the Flagrant for Drug Trafficking presents an empirical investigation about the research hypothesis that there is a specific and distinct criminological context in the application of drug traffickers, when compared to those for other crimes. The quantitative methodology will be used to test this hypothesis, with the construction of descriptive analyzes and logistic regressions, through the management of a database provided by the Center for the Study of Crime and Public Security (Crisp), of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). The data were collected in custody hearings, in Belo Horizonte, between September 2015 and March 2016.
