CLINICAL EVALUATION OF ANESTESIA BY TILETAMINE-ZOLAPEZAM ASSOCIATION IN RATS (Rattus norvergicus albinus)

In two groups of ten Wistar rats, were given 20 and 40mg/kg of tiletamine-zolazepam association by intramuscular route. The cardiac and respiratory frequencies and rectal temperature were registered and the palpebral, pupilar, corneal, auricular and digital reflexes observed from the administration until recovery, in fifteen minutes intervals. All the animals showed miosis and palpebral and corneal reflexes absence. The eyelids remained open with the auricular, digital and pupilar reflexes initially faint decreased. The respiratory frequency and rectal temperature showed an initial fall and cardiac an initial increase, all functions return to initial fisiologic level at sixty minutes of experiment. There were analgesia and muscular relaxation at ten minutes, extending to forty-five minutes, allowing the safe and harmless execution of intra-abdominals surgical procedures.
