Insect ocurrence in corn crop grown under no-tillage collected with pitfall traps

The knowledge of the diversity of insects associated with agriculture is fundamental for ecological studies and management. The experiment was carried out in a corn crop grown under no-tillage, using pitfall traps to collect insects to evaluate their presence on the soil surface during the cycle of the culture. The samplings were made in area of 3ha, in the Estação Experimental Agronômica (UFRGS), in Eldorado do Sul (RS), in which insecticides were not applied. A total of 32 pitfall traps were evaluated in each of the 14 sampling dates during the season. During the evaluations, 2840 insects were collected, with species included in 8 orders, prevailing Coleoptera e Orthoptera.
