Abstract
The article “Experiences of Ercília Nogueira Cobra in Caxias do Sul: through the lens of historical records” investigates Ercília Nogueira Cobra, a Brazilian writer born in São Paulo, during her stay in the city of Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul state, in the 1930s. It is based on historical documents and other records. They are highlighted by two legal proceedings Cobra filed with the municipal government and articles from the local press that mention the writer. The study reveals possible relations between Cobra and the Caxias do Sul community during that period.
