Abstract
This article presents the results of a study that analyzed mobilities and immobilities inherent to Haitian migration to Brazil, observed in marriages between Haitians in Lajeado, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul state. It reveals how various movements in the configuration of these marriages are linked to gender relations, grounded in religious identities. The empirical data were collected in ethnographic research conducted in Lajeado since 2013. The article considers political and religious dimensions of the mobilities and marriage.
