New curriculum proposals and pedagogical practice

The article focusses curriculum proposals being introduced in a school in Rio de Janeiro city, in light of new curriculum policies that have to do with broader contexts in education and are underpinned by discourses being produced around significant school performance as portrayed by the Basic Education Development Index. The article also analyzes discourses of production of performance and new school management and teaching management models.
