Analysis of behavioral models in information search

The objective of this article is to identify the conceptual delimitation of the information seeking behavior, through the analysis of three fundamental models: Information-Seeking Behavior by J. Krikelas; Theoretical foundation for ISP, by C.C. Kuhlthau; and Model of Information Behavior by T.D. Wilson. Three elements were considerated for interpreting the models: rational principle, basic concepts and model relational mechanisms; the purpose of the interpretation is to identify their resemblances or their possible differences.
