COMPARISON OF SAMPLING METHODS OF FIXED AREA, RELASCOPIA, OF SIX TREES, FOR EFFICIENCY IN THE FOREST INVENTORY OF A SETTLEMENT OF Pinus sp

ABSTRACT

In this work, it was compared the sampling methods of fixed area, relascopia and of six trees, by means of the criterion of relative efficiency. The study was carried out in a stand of Pinussp., for a maximum error admitted of 10% of middle volume and 95% of probability. The results showed to be more efficient the inventory conduced with sample units of fixed area; while the relascopia method reached 80% and the six trees 60% of efficiency in the relation to the first, being surveyed, respectively, 9, 13 and 31 units of samples, and totalizing 228; 326 and 336 minutes to reach the fixed precision.
