SURVEY AND POPULACIONAL DINAMIC OF COLEOPTERONS IN VEGETATION OF THE SAVANNAH IN CUIABANA LOWERED, STATE OF MATO GROSSO, BRAZIL

ABSTRACT

In this work it was aimed at contributing for the knowledge of the species of coleopterons that occur associated to the savannah vegetation in the Baixada Cuiabana. In an area of permanent preservation it were installed, at 1.5 m of the level of the soil, six impact traps, model escolitídeoCuritiba, baited with alcohol. It were captured 2111 individuals, distributed in eight families, 24 genera and 37 species. The most representative species were: Hypothenemus obscurus (Fabricius), 1801; Cryptocarenus heveae (Hagedorni), 1912; Cryptocarenus diamatus Eggers, 1937; Cryptocarenus seriatus Eggers, 1933 and Hypothenemus eruditus Westwood, 1836, 19 dominant species, five constant, 21 accidental and 18 rare species have occurred. The diversity index was considered high (H' = 0,77), showing an environment, still, balanced ecologicaly.
