The paper claims to expose the investigations that developed around a problematic research. The research in question looked at education in the Catholic offices schools and at the structure of the religious area in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil (in the XVIII, XIX, and XX centuries). It tries to support the different social memories that amplify space and possibility that turned into the making of citizenship.
