AWAKENED CLASSROOMS THE CONSTRUCTION OF AUTONOMY THROUGH COOPERATIVE WORK

ABSTRACT

This article is oriented towards the narrative of an experience in a public school in Montevideo, which, framed in the Freinet pedagogy, proposes what the author calls Cooperative Workshops of Free Work. She focuses on the pedagogical meanings of this pedagogy in relation to cooperative work, the construction of autonomy and the emancipation of the subject and puts them in dialogue with this experience. This pedagogical practice is also a living example of the vitality of Freinet pedagogy, which renews and expands with the creation and reflection of teachers, through thought and action. The article is organized in three stages: the first one develops the concepts that structure the pedagogical proposal: work, free work, school cooperation and emancipation; the second stage focuses on a classroom pedagogical proposal which is configured as a contribution to the techniques of the new Freinet pedagogy; and the third stage is oriented towards final reflections.
