CLASS, LET’S MAKE A CIRCLE? WORKING ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLE OF FREE EXPRESSION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

ABSTRACT

Enabling emancipatory education, which recognizes the importance of the students’ free expression, is a challenge, but possible task. As an objective of this article, we present experiences lived in the public school, in the first years of elementary school, guided by the Freinetian perspective, emphasizing the organization in circles: conversation, mural journal and free texts. Such organization presents itself as a possibility to hear the students’ voice and to make possible the effective participation in the school environment and in its development and learning process.
