SUMMARY

The development and the productivity of several clones of rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. - Arg.) were compared at Fazenda Água Milagrosa, Tabapuã county, at the São Paulo State plateau.

Vegetative growth of the clones tested was considered normal. The rubber yield was quite variable among the different clones as judged by the Hamaker-Morris-Mann test. Clone LCB-510 and RRI-501 gave a theoric yield of dry rubber of 900 and 852 kg/ha/year respectively, a production comparable to the average yield in the extreme Asia. On the other hand, clone PB-86, the less productive, produced 460 kg/ha/year.
