The influence of planting time and rooting depth of fig tree cuttings

A study of rooting of fig tree cuttings was made in five successive times of planting as from May 1966 on. For each time two depths of planting the cuttings were used: 1 - burying up to 4/5 of their length; 2 - burying only half the length. The trial has shown that in all planting times the deeper the cuttings were planted the better were the rooting rates. The percentage of rooting decreased gradually the later the planting of the cuttings was done.
