Larvae of A. moorei Dyar were observed feeding on leaves of macadamia (Macadamia integrifolia Maid. & Bet.) in an experiment carried out at Tietê county, State of São Paulo, Brazil, during May and June of 1993. The larvae are white and remain on the upper surface of leaves, where they feed, form coccons and eventually pupate. The eggs are laid on the lower surface of leaves, in small clusters (2-15). The occurrence of the following natural enemies was also verified: the white fungi Paecilomyces farinosus (Holm ex. SF Gray), widespread in this field, the parasitoid Lespesia affinis (Townsend) (Diptera: Tachinidae) and the hyperparasitoid Brachymeria carinatifrons Gahan (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae). Infestations of this dalcerid were not observed in previous years, although macadamia has been growing in this county for several years. Voucher specimens were deposited at Entomology Section, Instituto Agronômico de Campinas (IAC).
