ADUBAÇÃO FOSFATADA E ÉPOCAS DE COLHEITA DO AMENDOIM: EFEITOS NA PRODUÇÃO DE ÓLEO E DE PROTEÍNA

Experiments were carried out in a Dark Red Latosol, medium texture, at Adamantina, State of São Paulo, Brazil, to evaluate effects of phosphate fertilizers and harvest times (peanut plant maturation stages) on grain oil and protein content and oil and protein yields. The peanuts were collected for oil and protein analysis in 1992/93 and 1993/94. The treatments were distributed in randomized complete blocks with three replications arranged in split-plots. The main plots were three doses of P (0, 40 and 80 kg/ha of P2O5); and the subplots were the harvest times, in six peanut plant maturation stages (78, 85, 92, 99, 106, and 113 days in 1992/93; and 79, 86, 93, 100, 107, and 114 days after emergence in 1993/94). Oil content varied with the peanut plant maturation stage and with the cropping year; and, protein content increased with the delayed harvest. Oil and protein contents in grain, and oil and protein yields did not vary with phosphatic fertilization.
