We describe the development of a workbook of activities for teaching trigonometry focusing on the possible fusion between the historical approach to teaching mathematics and the professional masters degree program. Theoretical aspects are presented which are considered in the development of this educational material, as well as a detailed description of its structure, some considerations about its application and the principal findings. We also present part of the educational material aiming to promote discussions among mathematics teachers regarding possible pedagogical connections between trigonometry and its history.
