RESUMO A ciência não costuma figurar com destaque nas manifestações culturais brasileiras. Ainda assim, é possível encontrar referências a ela nas formas mais populares de comunicação, a exemplo da literatura de cordel. Neste artigo, a partir de um corpus de 50 cordéis sobre temas relacionados à ciência, buscamos compreender, por meio de uma análise discursiva, como o universo científico está inserido e é retratado nesse gênero literário. Observamos que os cordéis apresentam, em seu conjunto, uma imagem ambivalente da ciência, ora exaltando os feitos científicos e seus autores, ora oferecendo um olhar crítico sobre o desenvolvimento tecnológico. Nosso estudo sugere que a convergência da ciência e da literatura de cordel tem potencial para aproximar a cultura científica da cultura popular, além de fomentar um pensamento crítico sobre as relações entre ciência e sociedade, sendo, portanto, uma ferramenta interessante de educação e popularização da ciência.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT In Brazilian cultural manifestations, science is not usually pictured prominently. Still, one can find references to it in some of the most popular forms of communication. Cordel literature is one of them. In this article, we try to understand how the scientific world is inserted and represented in this literary genre. We did a discourse analysis based on a corpus of 50 Cordel booklets on topics related to science. We note that the booklets present, as a whole, an ambivalent image of science, extolling the scientific achievements and their authors in some cases, whereas, in others, showing a critical view of technological development. Our study suggests that the mixing of science and Cordel literature has the potential to bring together scientific and popular cultures. This could also promote a critical thinking in the public about the relationship between science and society. Therefore, Cordel literature may be an interesting tool for education and popularization of science.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Este artigo retoma a perspectiva dialógica e polifônica que se estabelece entre as obras de Pushkin e Conrad e estabelece inter-relações que se fundamentam na intersubjetividade e nas atitudes sociais das obras. A perspectiva teórico-cultural é um fator fundamental para estabelecer algumas relações que permitem um diálogo entre gêneros, culturas, problemas de situações multiculturais, épocas e costumes, que permitem uma comparação com a multiplicidade de níveis de uma semiótica da cultura apresentada na obra de Ridley Scott, com algumas referências à obra de Dostoievski.Resumo em Espanhol:

ABSTRACT This article revisits the dialogic and polyphonic perspective that is established between Pushkin's and Conrad's works and sets interrelations that are based on the works' intersubjectivity and social attitudes. The theoretical and cultural perspective is a key factor to establish some relationships that enable a dialogue between genres, cultures, issues of multicultural situations, times and customs, which make possible the comparison between the multiplicity of levels of a semiotics of culture expressed in Ridley Scott's work and some references to Dostoyevsky's work.Resumo em Português:

ABSTRACT From Mikhail Bakhtin's studies and discussions about the origins and development of prose and novel in the West, the purpose of this paper is to reflect on the peculiarities of the novel in great literary fictional productions in Latin America during the twentieth century. Um dos focos está no exame do sincretismo como possível operação dialética, à qual tem sido frequentemente associado. Esta discussão também aponta para o sincretismo na análise de práticas culturais. ABSTRACT This work seeks an adequate definition of syncretism within the theoretical context suggested by dialogism. One of the issues examined here is the usual description of syncretism as a possible dialectical operation. This discussion also points to the use of syncretism in the analysis of cultural practices. RESUMO Este artigo investiga algumas obras do artista plástico Rubens Gerchman, integrantes da exposição "Estética do futebol e outras imagens", a partir dos conceitos de dialogismo e polifonia postulados pelo filósofo russo Mikhail Bakhtin (1895-1975). Tem como objetivo construir um percurso que relacione tais obras com outras produções artísticas e literárias, tanto de Gerchman quanto de outros artistas. Como abordagem metodológica, utiliza a análise dialógica do discurso, que propõe o diálogo entre diferentes enunciados concretos e a produção de sentidos gerada pela interação entre sujeitos situados social e historicamente.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Based on the concepts of dialogism and polyphony postulated by Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin (1895-1975), this article investigates some of artist Rubens Gerchman's works that integrate the Exhibition Estética do futebol e outras imagens [Aesthetics of Soccer and Other Images]. It aims to build a pathway that relates such works to other artistic and literary productions, both those of Gerchman and those of other artists. It uses dialogic discourse analysis as its methodological approach, which proposes a dialogue between different concrete utterances and the production of meanings generated by the interaction between socially and historically situated subjects.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Esta reflexão tem o intuito de identificar as formas de diálogos entre a microssérie Capitu, de Luís Fernando Carvalho e o romance Dom Casmurro, de Machado de Assis, e está fundamentada na teoria da narratologia - sobretudo a partir das contribuições de Gérard Genette. Para substanciar nosso estudo acerca da natureza das narrativas, fazemos uma abordagem dos textos com base na fortuna crítica das duas obras, além de buscarmos apreender os sentidos da imagem e do tempo sobre a teleficção, sobre o processo de adaptação e sobre os movimentos artísticos da modernidade, que encontram reflexo no percurso da transmutação da narrativa de um suporte radicado no código verbal para um suporte radicado num código verbal-visual-sonoro.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This paper aims to identify modalities of dialogue between the television series Capitu by Luis Fernando Carvalho and the novel Dom Casmurro by Machado de Assis. It is based on the theory of narratology, mainly on Gerard Genette's contributions. In order to consolidate the study on the nature of narratives, we propose that the texts be read based on the available scrutiny of the two pieces. Moreover, we intend to apprehend the meanings of image and time related to the television show, the process of adaptation, and the modern artistic movements that are found in the process of transmutation of the narrative from a support based on verbal code to a support based on audio-visual-verbal code.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Trata-se de um trabalho que objetiva especular sobre a natureza e a função da palavra poética do ponto de vista da relação que estabelece entre o estético, o ético e o político. Inquieta-nos saber como a linguagem poética, inscrita no seio da língua, pode se configurar como um gesto de resistência e subversão ao investir na não-representação e na apresentação de um (quase) ser nascente no aqui e agora de sua presença no "ter-lugar" da língua. Filósofos contemporâneos, como Alain Badiou e Giorgio Agamben, apontam possíveis respostas para essa questão por meio da operação de negatividade que se faz na língua, de modo a torná-la não informativa. Barthes também acena nessa direção ao se deter sobre o vazio da aparição do "é isto" na forma poética do haicai, que bloqueia qualquer interpretação ulterior. Espera-se que esses modos de pensar o poético possam oferecer à crítica literária novos parâmetros investigativos.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This work aims to investigate the nature and function of the poetic word from its relation with aesthetics, ethics, and politics. We are stirred to know the ways poetic language, inscribed within language, may appear as a gesture of resistance and subversion. This is due to its investments both in non-representation and in the presentation of an (almost) rising being in a hic et nunc of its presence in the "taking place" of language. Contemporary philosophers, such as Alain Badiou and Giorgio Agamben, suggest possible answers to this question through the operation of negativity that takes place in language so as to make it uninformative. Barthes also seems to follow the same path by lingering on the emptiness of the appearance of "this is" in the poetic form of haiku, which prevents any further interpretation. We expect that these ways of thinking the poetic may offer literary criticism new investigative parameters.Resumo em Português:

ABSTRACT This article focuses on analyzing the discourse and the actions of the character Polonius in The tragedy of Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, in order to articulate Updike's vision of the counselor's personality in the novel Gertrude and Claudius. RESUMO A tradução brasileira (2015) do Prefácio de Patrick Sériot para a tradução francesa (2010) de Marxismo e filosofia da linguagem proporciona uma boa oportunidade para discutir a obra e sua relevância no campo das Ciências Humanas, considerando distintas interpretações possíveis. Nesse sentido, este trabalho apresenta uma discussão sobre questões que, a nosso ver, merecem ser abordadas, tanto do trabalho de Sériot (tomado como exemplo de interpretação de MFL) como da obra de Voloshinov.Resumo em Inglês:

RESUMO Este estudo é uma exploração de alguns pressupostos conceptuais da análise literária em situações cotidianas de produção de sentidos. Esta exploração foi realizada a partir de registros longitudinais videografados da interação de uma díade mãe-bebê. Os pressupostos focalizados foram concepções de linguagem, ética e estética. Em uma análise microgenética ilustraram-se, com dados empíricos, o funcionamento desses pressupostos na produção de sentidos. Nos resultados discutiram-se implicações da simultaneidade de experiências passadas e antecipações de suas possibilidades futuras na organização da interação no presente imediato. Concluiu-se que a produção de sentidos é uma forma de resolver tensões promovidas pela simultaneidade de diferentes tempos, em experiências marcadas pela factualidade, originalidade e pela estabilidade dinâmica de uma situação responsiva. Com essas características, a produção de sentidos foi considerada um exercício ético e estético das ações humanas. Então foi reconhecida a apropriação dos pressupostos discutidos na literatura para análise também de práticas cotidianas com a linguagem.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT In this study, we explored some theoretical assumptions of literary analysis within the context of everyday situations of sense production. This operation was carried out by analyzing longitudinal videotaped sessions of the interactions between a mother and an infant. Concepts related to language, ethics and aesthetics formed the basis for the theoretical assumptions that guided our analysis. A microanalysis of empirical data illustrates the functioning of these assumptions for the production of sense. In the results, we discussed the implications of the simultaneity of past experiences and the anticipation of future possibilities for the organization of the actions in the immediate present. We concluded that the production of sense is a way to solve emerging tensions related to the simultaneity of past and future, originality, individuality, and dynamic stability when responsive situations arise. Therefore, the production of sense was considered an ethical and aesthetic human action, and we were able to verify how appropriate these assumptions were to analyze language practices outside literature.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Do início (1919) até o final de suas publicações (1972), Mikhail Bakhtin escreveu frequentemente a respeito da força da criatividade. Isso foi um tema secundário, mas também uma variante livre e valorativa de seus grandes temas, como dialogismo, cronotopo, carnaval, grande tempo. A definição de Bakhtin que colabora para distinguir o dado, que já existe, do recentemente criado, ajuda-nos, em 2015, a resgatar a criatividade de seus usos desgastados na esfera pública. Uma finalidade deste ensaio é retificar uma expressão valiosa: mostrar o que Bakhtin quer dizer com a cocriatividade daqueles que compreendem1. Outra finalidade é especificar, com o auxílio de Bakhtin, o tipo de criatividade que Alexandr Pushkin realiza nos poemas líricos, narrativos e meditativos em seu momento histórico. Na medida em que formos bem-sucedidos, continuamos um projeto de estudos bakhtinianos cujo objetivo é mostrar como seu pensamento contribui para a interpretação da poesia como uma arte verbal.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT From the beginning (1919) to the end (1972) of his publishing career, Mikhail Bakhtin very often wrote about the force of creativity. This is a secondary theme, but also a freedom-valuing variant of his grand themes of dialogism, chronotope, carnival, great time. Bakhtin's definition, which works to disentangle the existing given from the newly-created, helps us in 2015 to rescue creativity from debased usages in the public sphere. One purpose of this essay is to rectify a valuable term: to show what Bakhtin means by "the co-creativity of those who understand." Another purpose is to specify, with Bakhtin's help, the type of creativity Alexandr Pushkin achieves in his historical moment, in lyric, narrative, and meditative poems. To the extent we are successful, we continue an ongoing project in Bakhtin studies: to show how his thinking aids in the interpretation of poetry as verbal art.
