SINAES self assessment: a strategy of management of a university hospital

Objective: analyze the management strategies adopted by the managers of HUSM based on the results of institutional self-assessment. Methodology: We have created a self-assessment tool for maintaining the structure and the foundations of the National Assessment of Higher Education (SINAES). The analysis answered the dimensions of SINAES. Results: Of the managers, 46.58% say they have no legislation regarding the field of service, 80.83% rated the performance of the staff appropriate with regard to the National Policy of Humanization, 58.9% separate garbage appropriately, 68.50% considered internal communicationadequate; 97.22% of managers rated their technical and scientific knowledgesatisfactory. With regard to education, 89.41% of managers consider the hospital as a good field and 90.41% considered the accompaniment of students satisfactory. Conclusion: The evaluation process has enabled reflection and analysis of the HUSM from the vantage point ofmanagement on various aspects considered important to offer good quality education.
