The authors conduct a reflection about the process of institutional evaluation at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) since its beginning with PAIUB, its course and evolution up to the present moment, where it composes in an articulated manner with planning and information a program of strategic management (PSM). They highlight the institutionalization of the PSM and its utilization towards the improvement of the institutional management.
