Evaluation of curriculum guidelines acording to the biopsychosocial perspective of the world health organization (WHO)

The National Curriculum Guidelines (NCG) involve the skills that each program should develop during the training of scholars. However, there is no tool to systematically assess the performance of future graduates. Objective: Develop a checklist for evaluating the trainees in physiotherapy. Methods: The rules of linking were used to relate the content of the NCG with ICF. Then a consensus was established among researchers for the evaluation checklist. Results: We selected 13 sub-chapters of activity and participation related to the learning and application of knowledge, general tasks and demands, communication, interpersonal relationships and community, social and civic life. Final Considerations: The results of linking provide a rationale for evaluation in accordance with the requirements of MEC and the biopsychosocial approach advocated by WHO. Studies are needed to validate the instrument developed and verify its applicability and feasibility in different health areas and in different populations.
