Brazil, land of contrasts

This article analyzes the contrasts that mark the Brazilian society in its historical trend. From the resulting contrasts of the natural environment to the socio economic and cultural contrasts, the article highlights education in all its levels as one of the constitutive dimensions of Brazilian society that excludes since its beginnings; relations between University and basic education, as well as how teachers training are carried out here. The article links the exclusive social process to ways of power within the Brazilian State, in which the policies are more like government policies than State policies, discontinuous.
