ABSTRACT
It is true that my process of producing art involves choices and cooptation of elements that are dictated by subjectivity; from the infinite possibilities of references and everyday encounters, those which are more "electrically" charged will be selected to participate as producers of meaning in my work. But there is also a kind of negotiation with a broader field of culture that makes the energetic charge of these elements arise according to their "symbolic objectivity", therefore being not a pure function of subjectivity. Reflections on the "artisanship of choices" accompany my recent production No interior do tempo [Within time], dialoguing with thinkers that relate more or less critically with the surrealist movement.
