The authors make a short but complete review of the literature on the subject of involvement of the C.N.S. by the Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, pointing out the cases in which the diagnosis was proved either by bacteriological or histopathological examination of surgical or autopsy material. Also, they contribute one case of their own studied in detail in which the clinical diagnosis of intracerebral mass had been made and the etiological factor was, by the history, suspected of Paracoccidioidosis; this diagnosis has been confirmed by bacteriological and histological examination of surgical specimen.
