Hilda Hilst, reader of D.H. Lawrence: Lady Chatterley's lover marginalia

Abstract

Guided by the first person of the archive researcher, suffering from the "Archive Fever" proposed by Jacques Derrida in a homonymous text, this article reflects on the notion of archive and marginalia by erotic means. The paper also analyzes what the writer Hilda Hilst wrote in the margins of the book Lady Chatterley's Lover, by D.H. Lawrence. Based on unpublished material found in the library at her residence Casa do Sol, we intend to think about Hilda Hilst the reader and how these writings in the margins dialogue with her published work, particularly with her erotic trilogy.
