Valendo-se do conceito de "servidão voluntária", elaborado por Etienne De La Boétie no séc. XVI, o artigo pretende realizar uma reflexão sobre a subjetividade hoje. Este conceito - e os paradoxos que implica - revelou-se bastante profícuo e atual para pensar o movimento vivo de alienação e separação do sujeito, em particular na sociedade brasileira que acaba de completar quinhentos anos.

According to the "voluntary servitude" concept, elaborated by Etienne De La Boétie in the 16th century, this paper intends to examine subjectivity nowadays. The "voluntary servitude" concept, and the paradoxes it implies, has turned out to be quite productive and up to date in order to think of the live movement of both subject alienation and separation, particularly in the Brazilian society which has just turned five hundred years old.

Ao retomar a interrogação sobre a relação existente entre os objetos da ciência e o gozo, Lacan propõe-se também a postular, nesse contexto, o fenômeno toxicomaníaco presente no uso metódico e ordenado dos diversos produtos que vão desde os tranqüilizantes até os alucinógenos. A materialização do efeito real da ciência sobre o corpo, no caso do uso destas substâncias tóxicas, torna-se objeto de uma hipótese que se inscreve no horizonte da chamada dimensão ética do gozo. Abordar a toxicomania sob o ponto de vista ético do gozo do corpo, leva, certamente, a concebê-la como um modo particular de satisfação, distinto da dependência biológica própria de toda concepção repreensiva do problema. Esse modo de satisfação que cativa certos sujeitos é considerado uma tentativa de enfrentar as perturbações do gozo do corpo e, diante do corpo inseparável do gozo, a toxicomania poderia ser vista como um mais-gozar particular, correlativo a uma mudança operada, pela ciência, no real.

Returning to the question of the relationship between science objects and jouissance, Jacques Lacan's purpose, in this context, is to claim the drug addiction phenomenon which is present in the methodic and ordered use of several products from tranquilizers to hallucinogens. The real effect of science materializing over the body when under the use of these toxic substances, becomes the object of a hypothesis inserted in the horizon of the so called ethical dimension of jouissance. The drug addiction approach under the ethical dimension of the body jouissance is certainly conceived as an idea of private satisfaction which is different from the biological dependency peculiar to every reprehensive idea of the problem. This way of satisfaction that captivates some types of subjects is seen as an attempt to face the jouissance disturbances in the body, and when facing the inseparable body from jouissance, drug addiction could be seen as a particular plus jouissance, correlative to an operated change by the science, in the real.

Discute-se a feminilidade nos dias de hoje a partir da abertura discursiva introduzida pelos estudos sobre a histeria, de Freud. A própria definição da clínica psicanalítica é remetida às modalidades de defesa contra a posição feminina e ao que ela veicula de diferença radical, aqui associada à castração. Mediante apresentação de uma "nota" clínica, aborda-se a feminilidade frente à inscrição e à relação dos sexos, evidenciando-se a função simbólica de uma mãe. A posição feminina na transmissão é tratada pelo viés da nomeação. A pesquisa clínica sobre a histeria indica que a posição feminina submetida à castração simbólica revela-se condição da flexão do nome e produção de diferença.

The article discusses femininity in the contemporary world from the point of view of Freud's Studies on Histeria. The definition of the psychoanalytic clinical practice itself is referred to the modes of defense against the feminine position and the radical difference it imparts. The latter here is associated to castration. Using the presentation of a clinical "note", it approaches femininity in face of both inscription and sexual relations and highlights the symbolic function of the mother. The feminine position in transmission is treated through nomination. The clinical research on histeria indicates that the feminine position under symbolic castration reveals the conditions for the utterance of the name and for the production of difference.

A masculinidade, como sintoma, utiliza a atividade do pênis ereto como estandarte de sustentação imaginária da potência fálica. A instalação da disfunção erétil (que afeta o órgão) coloca em questão a masculinidade (que afeta o ser), confirmando a sensação subjetiva de "impotência" sexual - sujeito e sintoma se fundem no fracasso eretivo.

Masculinity, as a symptom, uses the erect penis activity as an imaginary maintenance banner of the phallic potency. The installation of the erectile dysfunction (which affects the organ) raises the issue of masculinity (which affects the being itself), thus confirming the subjective sensation of sexual "impotence" - subject and symptom fall in the erective failure.

Argumenta-se aqui que a descrição e o próprio uso do método psicanalítico em uma pesquisa devem ser coerentes com a formalização da clínica. Essa formalização tem revelado que as articulações significantes podem ser colocadas logicamente na modalidade do necessário (interpretação). Por outro lado, a quantidade de investimento libidinal que elas podem atrair escapa da possibilidade de cálculo e é melhor caracterizada como contingente (ato). Essa divisão do sujeito é o obstáculo para que o método seja descrito dentro dos padrões acadêmicos de pesquisa mas é, também, o que define o campo psicanalítico.

The paper argues that the description and the application of the psychoanalytical method in a research must be coherent with clinical formalization. Such formalization has revealed that significant articulations can be logically described in terms of the necessary modality (interpretation). On the other hand, the amount of libidinal investment they can attract is impossible to calculate and is better described as contingent (act). This subject splitting constitutes the obstacle to the full description of the method in academic patterns but, at the same time, constitutes the psychoanalytical field itself.

Pretende-se demonstrar a aplicabilidade do método psicanalítico de trabalho sobre o inconsciente numa análise, como referência e paradigma para a pesquisa acadêmica em psicanálise. Para tanto, parte-se da explicitação dos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da psicanálise para, em seguida, discutir sua utilização enquanto recurso na investigação de determinado discurso, a partir de sua redução. Utiliza-se, a título de demonstração, sua aplicação numa dissertação de mestrado.

This text intends to demonstrate the applicability of the psychoanalytic method of the work about the unconscious as a reference and a paradigm for the academic research in psychoanalysis. For this, we make explicit the conjectures of the theory and of the method of psychoanalysis following a discussion about its use as a resource on the investigation of a specific discourse from its operation of reduction. In order to demonstrate this we refer to its use in an academic thesis.

Procura-se evidenciar um novo direcionamento para a questão do amor de transferência com o ensino de Jacques Lacan. Trata-se, antes de mais nada, do questionamento do lugar do analista para responder a esse amor. A tese de Lacan é de que esse amor é endereçado ao saber: o analisando coloca o analista na posição de sujeito suposto saber, de um saber consistente, de um saber que sabe. Entretanto, da perspectiva do analista o saber não sabe. O analista deve conduzir a análise visando esse não saber como verdade.

The article tries to make evident a new direction in the question of transference love according to Lacan's teaching. At first, it deals with the question of the analyst's position in order to answer to this love. Lacan's thesis relies on the fact that this love is addressed to knowledge. Based on that, the analyzand puts the analyst in the position of a subject supposed to know, supposed to have a consistent knowledge, a knowledge that knows. However, from the analyst's point of view, knowledge does not know. Having this in mind as the truth, the analyst must analyze his patient.

Pretende-se examinar o papel da analogia no pensamento freudiano, através de um período fértil e tumultuado do movimento psicanalítico, marcado pela intensificação das divergências entre Freud e seu dileto (Jung), e também pelo crescimento do movimento da psicanálise aplicada entre Freud e seus discípulos e pelo trabalho analítico daquele que é, talvez, o mais importante caso clínico escrito por Freud: o caso do Homem dos Lobos. Este período marca um imenso campo de debates clínicos e teóricos, entre os quais se inclui, sem dúvida, o problema da analogia na teoria e na clínica psicanalíticas.

This article intends to examine the role of analogy in the Freudian thought. With this in mind we will visit a very hectic and productive period in the psychoanalytical movement. This period was marked by the divergences between Freud and Jung, by the expansion of the applied psychoanalytical movement between Freud and his disciples, and by the analytical work of the Wolfman (which might be considered Freud's most important case). This period marks a huge field of clinical and theoretical debates, among which the problem of analogy in theory and in clinical psychoanalysis is undoubtedly included.

Discute-se a relação entre as noções freudianas de realidade material e realidade psíquica, procurando responder se essas duas noções podem ser compreendidas a partir de uma polarização. Com esse objetivo, foram analisados textos de Freud em que tal discussão é privilegiada. Conclui-se que a melhor maneira de conceber essa relação não é pela via de uma mera polarização ou oposição, e que realidade material e psíquica devem ser vistas como noções ao mesmo tempo equivalentes e distintas.

This paper discusses the relationship between the Freudian notions of material reality and psychical reality, attempting to answer if these two notions can be understood by means of a polarization. In order to do that, Freudian texts in which such a discussion is favored have been analyzed. It has been concluded that the best way of conceiving this relationship is not by means of a mere polarization or opposition, and that the material and psychical reality should be seen as notions which are at the same time equivalent and distinct.
