Abstract:
This is a reading by the psychoanalytic method, based on the working time of mourning, through the film Lust for life, the biography of Van Gogh written by Forrester, and conceptions of mourning in the field of psychoanalysis formulated by Lacan and Allouch, aimed at addressing the crossing of mourning as an experience that requires work not solely determined by the relation between the mourner and the lost object, but relying on the function of the rites and the language to conclude the mourning with an act.
Keywords:
time; mourning; Van Gogh; psychoanalysis.
