Corneal flap shrinkage after laser assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK)

SUMMARY

The author describes a complication of LASIK technique that was noticed one month after the surgery in both eyes of a patient with pre-operative 10.5 diopter a myopia and 40.50 diopters of central keratometry. The complication consisted of a shrinkage at the border of both flaps with apparent necrosis and epithelial in growth.
